How to buy an MP3 player
Mp3 players and/or iPods are gadgets that every music lover must have. With
an MP3 player by your side, you’ll always have a song to cheer you up at hand,
literally! However before you go out shopping for one, here are a few things you
must keep in mind.
First, you need to decide what is that you want to buy, a generic MP3 player
or an iPod. Though both are MP3 players, iPod works only with iTunes. The
advantage of buying iPods, however, is that they support many additional
applications such as storing and viewing videos, movies and photographs
etc.
Whether you decide to buy an Mp3 player or iPod, you must make sure that it
has a good storage capacity. The better the storage the more songs you’ll be
able to store. Generally more storage area means a higher price. If the
memory space isn’t much, you must look for an iPod/MP3 player with an expandable
memory.
If you decide to buy an MP3 player, make sure it has a radio. Some MP3
players also have an additional feature which allows you to record songs from
the radio. If you have a good budget you must look for one which offers this
additional feature.
Make sure your MP3 player or iPod is compact, user friendly and has a good
battery life. It’s also important to ensure that it is compatible with your
laptop/computer.
Though MP3 players and iPods come with compatible headphones, in case you do
not like the sound quality of the manufacturer’s headphone, you may consider
investing in an extra set.
While you are shopping for an MP3 player, do have a look at some useful
accessories like travel kits, car chargers and headsets etc. The advantage of
buying accessories along with your MP3 player is that you may get a discount on
your purchase.
